What is the purpose of the welfare funds?
To provide assistance to subscribers and pensioners of the Pension Fund and non stipendiary clergy/minita-a-iwi in financial need. The primary purposes
for welfare assistance are in the general area of:
- Maintenance of Shelter
What benefits are available?
Assistance may be given by way of a grant or a loan, as decided by the Pension Board.
Who is eligible to receive welfare funds?
Subscribers and pensioners of the New Zealand Anglican Church Pension Fund, non stipendiary clergy/minita-a-iwi and those financially dependent on these
people are eligible to apply for assistance.
What is the application process?
An application form must be completed providing information on income and expenditure, assets and liabilities and what the funds are needed for. This form
is sent to the local Pension Committee. The Pension Committee will evaluate the application and then forward it on to the Pension Board with a recommendation.
No application will be accepted from individuals who have not gone through their Pension Committee.
